Our vision is to help women be the best player they can be and spark their passion for the game.

Living in remote and regional areas, there are limited opportunities for women and, in the Kimberley, we have a large population of people with a low socio-economic background. This can affect participation in sport. We Got Game is a free program to players and club members.

The Vision

Home: About

We Got Game Academy was created out of a strong passion, a shared vision and a ceaseless commitment to making learning easy and accessible. Since established in 2022, we’ve had the opportunity to assist a number of women to acquire foundational skills, develop new techniques and confidently move forward in their Football journey.

We Got Game Academy Aims to Identify talent and develop pathways in the Kimberley. With better access to resources and support women, we are committed to spotting talent and guiding players through the appropriate pathways.

TALENT & PATHWAYS

KEEPING IT LOCAL

Keeping it local means we build an industry around AFLW within the Kimberley. The Academy aims to grow the Industry and assist First Nations people to enter the sector through supporting volunteers, creating employment and providing training.

GROWING THE GAME

We Got Game Academy is committed to growing AFL in the Kimberley. With Football being the most participated sport by first Nations people, this is a priority as we prepare for our “Next Level” player coming through to ensure we are making them “Better and Stronger”

ENHANCING WELLBEING

First Nations people have statistically been on the lower end of health and wellbeing. Without going out of scope, We Got Game Academy supports players to enhance their Social and emotional well being through their AFL journey.

The Academy is now taking Expressions of Interest for Sponsorship. If you are passionate about supporting Kimberley women to participate and excel in AFL and feel you can contribute to our four Pillars please reach out to us
